VerifyBot Privacy Policy

Ø What information do we collect and why?

i. For server owners: When the bot is setup on your server, we store all relevant info needed for the bot to function in our database. (this includes, but is not limited to: your server ID, your roles ID, your security settings, logging ID). Statistical data (that includes, but is not limited to: verification count, security features use count) is also collected and displayed on the online dashboard.

ii. Logging: VerifyBot stores all verification related events for your server on its logging database which can be accessed on the online dashboard. (this includes, but is not limited to: user IDs, user tags, user profile pictures, user verification IDs)

iii. For users who verify:
- When you start the verification process (by either clicking a button or doing /verify) we create a unique verification ID which will be connected to your user ID and server ID. This is stored on our database and may be viewable by the server owner on VerifyBot’s logging. Other information like link clicking, verification expiration, verification completion, is also stored.
- When finishing a verification process, you will be sent to our success page (https://verifybot.me/success) where we might show you a feedback form which is provided by the third party: appzi. Therefore appzi’s Terms and Privacy policy also apply. https://www.appzi.com/privacy/ and https://www.appzi.com/terms/
- Also, depending on which security features the server owner has enabled, the following terms may apply to you:

a. Captcha: If captcha is enabled, during the verification process you will be shown a captcha provided by the third party: hCaptcha. Therefore hCaptcha’s Terms and Privacy policy also apply. https://www.hcaptcha.com/terms and https://www.hcaptcha.com/privacy

b. VPN Blocker: If this setting is enabled, your IP address will be fetched upon clicking on a verification link. This IP address will be sent to the third party: IPHub and will be processed in compliance with their Terms and Privacy policy. https://iphub.info/legal/privacy and https://iphub.info/legal/tos
Please note however that in this case your IP address will NOT be saved in any way in our database.

c. IP Limiter: If this setting is enabled, your IP address will be collected (and saved) upon clicking on a verification link. If not previously collected, this IP address will be stored on our database with a uniquely generated IPID which is a custom string that refers to your IP address, but in itself is not traceable back to your IP address. Each unique IPID, will have a subset array which includes all Server IDs on which it has verified on, along with the user IDs which have verified using this particular IPID. (Please find the schema, to properly understand the IPIDs) Schema is for explanation purposes only.

- IP Address will be stored in the database along its IPID.

- IPID will have different guild IDs it has been used on with the user IDs

Please note that the IPIDs along with the user ID may be shared with the server owner’s and/or staff on the VerifyBot Logging. However there is no way for it to be connected to the actual IP address.

Ø Is any information shared elsewhere (with third parties)?

Yes. Please refer to “What information do we collect and why?”, “iii. For users who verify”, points “a. Captcha”, “b. VPN Blocker” and also feedback form section.

Ø How can my data be deleted/requested?

1. If you’re a server owner: If you would like to delete/request all the data we have stored regarding your server, please join our support server and create a request. We will respond to your request within 48 hours.

2. If you’re an user: The only sensitive personal information we store about individual users, are IP addresses. (Refer to refer to “What information do we collect and why?”, “iii. For users who verify”, points “b. VPN Blocker” and “c. IP Limiter”.) If you would like to delete/request this data, please join our support server and create a request. We will respond to your request within 48 hours.

Ø The use of cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our website and hold certain information.

Cookies we use are purely to make sure our website functions properly. We use cookies to store session data when you authenticate via Discord in our Dashboard. These cookies are not shared and do not contain any information useful to third parties.

Please not that you should NEVER share the session (“sid”) cookie data with other people as this results to them having access full access to your VerifyBot dashboard.

Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you will not be able to access features of our website. (the Dashboard)

Ø Children's Privacy

VerifyBot does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children").

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Ø Changes To This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

Users are also made aware and encouraged to read this Privacy Policy before using VerifyBot.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
